Ask ten people how they wear their silver and you'll get ten answers. Most of them are right. What follows isn't a set of rules — it's what we've picked up from watching people build stacks in the studio, at markets, and in the photos you send us.
Start with one piece you never take off.
Every good stack has an anchor — usually a hoop or a ring you've worn so long you forget it's there. Build around it rather than on top of it. If the anchor is polished, the rest can go brushed or oxidised.
Detail — ear, small Ora hoop + Halo cuff
Detail — three rings, mixed finishesVary the scale, not the material.
All-silver stacks look considered when the sizes change. A large hoop, a stud, a cuff higher up. A chunky signet next to two fine bands. Keep the metal consistent and let proportion do the work.
“Contrast does more work than quantity.”
Leave a gap.
The most interesting ears and hands we see usually have some empty space in them. One bare finger. A missing second earring. It reads as a choice.
Editorial — profile, single earring, negative spaceAnd if none of this applies to you: ignore it. That's the point.
